in questi fiumi si incontrano grosse trote fario e iridee che vanno in frenesia alimentare a causa delle numerose schiuse estive.

Le acque di entrambi i fiumi sono cristalline, i pesci sono selvaggi e gli ambienti variano tra correnti, pozze e lunghi tratti dove è possibile praticare la pesca a mosca secca, a mosca sommersa e a ninfa.

Si tratta di luoghi incredibili, che permettono di scoprire una parte insolita e sorprendente del sud Italia. Qui, la costa lascia il posto a boschi e valli dove la vera trota fario italiana regna sovrana.

La giornata di pesca inizierà presto per godersi le ore più fresche della giornata e proseguirà fino a sera, quando le schiuse raggiungono il picco e le trote si alimentano attivamente in superficie.

Catture e tecniche per la pesca a mosca nel Sud Italia
Le trote di questa regione sono rinomate per la loro colorazione vivace, la loro resistenza e le loro dimensioni. Non è raro dover pescare con finali da 0,20 mm per evitare di rompere le grosse trote che inseguono le cariche che sfiorano l'acqua.

L'attrezzatura migliore è una canna da 9 piedi per una coda 4wt, che consente di alternare con flessibilità la pesca a mosca secca con la tecnica della ninfa leggera. Il fiume scorre rapidamente ma è poco profondo, quindi non sono necessarie mosche particolarmente pesanti.

The waters of both rivers are crystal clear, the fish are wild, and the environments vary between currents, pools, and long runs where you can practice dry fly, wet fly, and nymph fishing.

These are incredible locations, allowing you to discover an unusual and amazing part of southern Italy. Here, the coastline gives way to forests and valleys where the true Italian brown trout reigns supreme.

The fishing day will start early to enjoy the coolest hours of the day and continue until evening, when the hatches peak and the trout are actively feeding on the surface.
Catches & Tecnique for Fly Fishing Southern Italy
The trout in this region are renowned for their vibrant coloration, strength, and size. It's not uncommon to have to fish with 0.20 mm tippets to avoid breaking off large trout chasing sedges skimming the water.

The best gear is a 9ft rod for a 4wt line, allowing you to flexibly switch between dry fly fishing and light nymphing. The river flows quickly but is shallow, so particularly heavy flies are not required.
